Libya to land Uyo on Friday

Libya will arrive Uyo on Friday for their 2019 Africa Cup Nations qualifying fixture against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The match is billed for this Saturday at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium Uyo, according to Sportsfora.com

The Libya players and their officials, Sportsfora learnt, will fly straight to Uyo from Tripoli for the Group E clash with the Super Eagles

The Mediterranean Knights will have a feel of the playing turf of the Akwa Ibom International Stadium the same day.

The North Africans so far remain unbeaten in the qualifying series with a win and draw from their opening two games against Seychelles and South Africa.

Libya occupies top position in Group E of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers with four points from two games.

South Africa are next with same number of points but have an inferior goal difference.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria sit in third position with three points, while Seychelles who lost their opening two games are yet to get a point.

Last month, Libya played a draw against the Bafana Bafana in South Africa and afterwards promised to humble the Super Eagles in Nigeria.

Libya will host Nigeria in the reverse fixture on October 16 in Sfax Tunisia.
